Colchester Rapid Transit System – Northern Approach Road final works

The Rapid Transit System works on Northern Approach Road in Colchester are now entering their final stages.

Activities to be completed include lining, drainage, minor surfacing, traffic signal loop connections and the installation of street lighting, street signs and other street furniture.

To facilitate these works there will be some lane closures between Via Urbis and Mill Road.

The lane closures will be in place from Monday 12th May to Friday 30th May between the hours of 20:00 and 23:00. For the weekends in this period, they will be in place from 19:00 to 23:00.

The closures will be managed with temporary signals, that will be rotated across different locations along the RTS route for the remainder of the works on Northern Approach Road.

No full closures will be in place, so traffic will retain full access in and around the estate.
