Active travel fund 4

Over £5M of funding was awarded in active travel funding round 4 which is being used towards construction of the Harlow 9 walking and cycling route, three school streets and design and construction of walking and cycling improvements in the Pump Lane area of Chelmsford.

For details of these schemes, please view the links below.

This £2million scheme  has seen the route fully resurfaced, new streetlighting installed, new wayfinding signs, vegetation clearance along the full route new markings and drainage improved.
A healthy school street aims to improve the street environment outside schools making it easier for students to walk, wheel and cycle to school.
To make the Pump Lane and Crocus Way area in Chelmsford safer for all users, we are proposing to make a number of improvements using active travel funding.
