Upcoming road closures - Velizy Avenue and First Avenue/Mandela Avenue

On behalf of Essex County Council, Bouygues UK Ltd will be undertaking essential works Southbound on Velizy Avenue A1019 as part of the Sustainable Transport Corridor project.

To enable these works, a road closure will be required on Velizy Avenue A1019, southbound, from the Velizy Roundabout junciton to the Water Gardens Roundabout junction. This closure will run overnight between the hours of 8pm to 5am from Sunday 29th September to Friday 4th October.

This closure is required to ensure both the safety of the public and work force. These works are weather dependent, and dates may change subject to weather conditions.

Please note that there will be no access for vehicles, including emergency vehicles, due to open excavations across the carriageway, but there will be clearly signed diversion routes during these works. Limited access will be available to businesses located within Crown Gate for deliveries during road closure times. Please see below for a map detailing the closure location and diversion route.

A certain amount of inconvenience is inevitable with work of this type, and we greatly appreciate your patience whilst the works are being undertaken. These works will unavoidably create some noise, and Bouygues UK will endeavour to keep particularly noisy operations to within daylight hours. We apologise for any disturbance caused during this essential work
