Hoppit Bridge - progress update

Waterproofing activities took place on the structure at the beginning of January as planned and we are now approaching the final stages of works.

Carriageway surfacing works are due to be being carried out this week (weather permitting) followed by white lining. Arrangements have been made to start to dismantle the temporary footbridge from Thursday 27 January 2022. Pedestrian access will be maintained via a designated walkway over Hoppit Bridge.

We are aiming to remove all traffic management and open the road by the end of day on Friday 4 February 2022.

There will be some remedial works remaining including replacing the East parapet and landscaping which will be carried out at a later date. We will provide a further update as soon as dates are confirmed and any traffic management requirements.
