Update: Bakers Lane - Phase Two

The Phase one works between the Bakers Lane junction with St Johns Road and the Roundabout with Cottis Lane are now complete, with this section of carriageway and footway being open for pedestrians and vehicular traffic to use for access to car parks, properties, and businesses located on Cottis Lane.  

The unforeseen ground conditions encountered within our phase one works on Bakers Lane has delayed the commencement of the phase two works from the Bakers Lane roundabout junction with Cottis Lane, to and including the junction with Albany Court.

The phase two works have been planned to be undertaken, in a number of smaller phases to allow unrestricted access to Albany Court and other properties. We are currently anticipating commencing this above-mentioned phase of work from the 5th of January 2026 to the 28th of February 2026.

Residents affected by the works will be kept up to date with further written communications, and through this website as the works progress.
