About the scheme

MDS Civil Engineering Ltd, were appointed by Persimmon Homes, to carrying out carriageway improvement works as part of planning application 18/00549/OUT, approved by Braintree District Council.

Works took place along the B1018 Braintree Road, between the southern arm of the Millennium Way Roundabout and the newly constructed Persimmon roundabout.

This provides the primary access route to 250 new homes, forming a connection between Braintree Road (B1018) and Long Green via newly constructed roundabout junctions.

The project was delivered in phases and completed in summer 2026.
