Completed Rochford Schemes

Sections of the A129 High Street and Eastwood Road in Rayleigh have been identified for carriageway surface improvements

As a traffic sensitive location, the work will be carried out overnight with the support of temporary road closures operational between the hours of 8pm and 5am.

As part of a planning condition 15/00736/FUL granted by Rochford District Council for the development of land adjacent to Grange Villa (near the BP Garage) by Silver City Estates, some local highway improvements are due to take place.  

As part of Countryside/Vistry’s planning permission linked to the Wolsey Park Development in Rayleigh, the existing traffic signals on the London Road/Victoria Avenue/Hatfield Road junction are due to be replaced and upgraded by the developer.

As part the planning permission (18/00443/OUT & 20/00846/RES) granted by Maldon District Council for the development of a Retirement Village off Maldon Road in Burnham-on-Crouch, a new road junction will be constructed along with pedestrian access.  

A programme of footpath maintenance is about to begin on Mapledene Avenue and surrounding areas in Hullbridge, to address defects and surface irregularities.

Essential footpath maintenance has been scheduled to improve local footpaths in Rayleigh, improving the route for residents.

As part of a planning consent granted by Rochford District Council associated with the Wolsey Park development on London Road (next to Lower Barn Farm), some works are due to take place during July and August related to local highway improvements.
