Getting around

Essex has a great wealth of transport links and public transport options. We have a vast network of Public Rights of Way ready to explore this great county.

Depending on the length of your journey, walking or cycling could be a great alternative to travelling by car. It helps the environment by taking cars off the road, as well as being good for your own health and wellbeing. Shorter journeys are also often quicker by foot or on a bike, especially during peak times.

For longer journeys, travelling by bus or park and ride might be more suitable. As well as taking the stress out of your journey, a full bus can take up to 40 cars off the road while using up considerably less road space.
