Update for Salt Bag Partnership members

COVID-19 has had a significant negative impact recently on the haulage industry and our salt bag distribution company has likewise been affected. At present it is unable to guarantee distribution of salt bags and accept a contract from us. There is a possibility that the situation may improve by August, and we hope this will be the case. With this in mind we are asking that you complete your survey as normal and we will collate your requirements so that should the situation improve we will have your information and can hopefully re-commence salt bag distribution this autumn as normal. If the situation has not improved by this August we will not be able to operate a scheme this year.

Having said that, as the last two winter seasons have been really mild, with almost no recorded snowfall, we believe you should have good stock remaining so should not be adversely affected for the coming winter season.

We do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we are certain you will appreciate the very challenging circumstances our local businesses are now finding themselves in due to COVID-19.
