Stone Bridge - Temporary footbridge installed

Significant progress has been made on our preparations to reconstruct Stone Bridge.

Vegetation clearance and tree removal, carried out with ecological supervision, are now complete and the site compound has been set up.  A new temporary pedestrian footpath has been installed, and a pedestrian footbridge has been successfully lifted into place.

The footbridge will remain closed for a few more days while final installation works and essential safety checks are completed.

Preparations for the next phase of the programme, including the installation of temporary sheet piles, are continuing as planned.
