Stone Bridge – Temporary footbridge now open

Following our update in July, we can now confirm that the temporary footbridge is now open to the public.

The bridge provides a safe crossing point, eliminating the need for pedestrians to pass over Stone Bridge while our improvements take place.

A temporary footpath now routes around the rear of the site and connects the Public Right of Way through Earls Colne Millennium Green with the Public Right of Way on the southern side of the A1124.

We are currently processing health and safety documentation prior to the main construction period, which is due to resume on Monday 14 September. This will begin with the installation of temporary steel sheet piles.
