Road Closures – A1019 Allende/Zelenskyy Avenue

Road resurfacing works are taking place on the A1019 Allende/Zelenskyy Avenue this weekend. 

These works will require a full road closure at the following times: 

• From 7:30pm on Friday 31 July until 5:00am on Monday 3 August. 

As part of these works, the following section of road will be closed: 

• A1019 Allende/Zelenskyy Avenue, between Burnt Mill Roundabout and Sainsbury's Roundabout. 

The closure will also include the Gladwin Way junction, with a signed diversion route in place via Torkildsen Way and Hammarskjold Road to Sainsbury's Roundabout. 

Please note: Once the works on A1019 Allende/Zelenskyy Avenue have been completed, the closure of the Gladwin Way junction will remain in place until the following weekend. This is to allow for the reinstatement and testing of the traffic signals at the junction. 

There will be a clearly signed diversion route during this closure. A map detailing the closure location and diversion route can be found below. 

Due to the nature of this work, there will be no access for vehicles during the closure period, however access will be maintained for the emergency services.  

A certain amount of inconvenience and noise is inevitable with work of this type, and we greatly appreciate your patience whilst these works are being undertaken. We wish to assure you that we will undertake these works as quickly and quietly as possible.
