Overnight site investigation surveys, Dovercourt Public Realm Scheme

Non-intrusive utilities surveys are scheduled to take place between 7pm and 6.30am from Monday 5 February to Friday 9 February to help inform the next stage of our design work. Traffic management will be required to keep everyone safe but will be removed at the end of each shift to minimise disruption and allow roads to open as normal during the daytime. Please be assured that any noise will be kept to a minimum.

The surveys are being completed in three separate phases. Surveys will be carried out along Kingsway and near the Kingsway junctions on Marine Parade and High Street. For these phases, lane closures and temporary traffic lights will be in place, maintaining access in all directions. The third phase will take place outside Dovercourt Railway Station and will require temporary lane obstructions. This will restrict access to/from Station Lane, Nelson Road and East Street to/from Kingsway and Station Road for short periods.

Further surveys are currently scheduled in March/April. We will provide more details once dates are confirmed. Unfortunately, these surveys cannot be run at the same time as those in February as they require access to the same areas and would therefore interfere with each other.
