Oasis Bridge – overnight road closure for bridge inspection

Arrangements are being made for an overnight road closure to be in place on the A138 Chelmer Road (southbound only) Monday 14 February 2022 in order to carry out an inspection at Oasis Bridge.

The closure will be in place between the hours of 8pm to 5am during which appropriate signs and diversion route will be in place. 

For those travelling southbound (in the direction of the Toby Carvery roundabout), a diversion will be in place via exiting the A138 via the slip road onto the roundabout where you can re-join the A138 Chelmer Road via the Eastern Approach entry slip.

The A138 Chelmer Road northbound carriageway on will remain open to traffic.

Vehicle access under the bridge will be maintained at all times.
