Oasis Bridge – Main works due to start

Arrangements have been made for UKPN to attend site on Monday 10 May 2021 to carry out permanent diversions to their apparatus and relocate shallow cables within ducting deeper in the ground. It is anticipated the necessary utility diversions will take five days to complete. During this time lane two will be closed on Eastern Approach in order to carry out these works in a safe manner.

After the necessary utility diversions are complete main works on Oasis Bridge will commence. From Monday 17 May 2021 traffic management arrangements will be amended to reflect the activities taking place on site. There will be a lane closure in place travelling East on B1137 Springfield Road and the north footpath will be closed. A designated diversion route will be in place to ensure pedestrian access is maintained at all times. 

Throughout the various phases of the works, traffic management will be adjusted to ensure the safety of the public and workforce is maintained.  Advance notice of key traffic management can be found below and information will also be published in advance on site signage.
