M11 Junction 8 scheme update: 30 May 2022

Over the last few weeks the team have been undertaking initial investigation works and underground utility diversions to ensure vital services are maintained as much as possible throughout construction.

This initial work has now been completed and traffic management has been removed from the M11, with further work planned for later in the year.

Work has now begun on the A120 roundabout, this has seen the site cleared and investigations completed. Works will now begin on bulk excavating the roundabout and starting the construction of the new junction.

Separate to our works, National Highways are carrying out essential repairs and resurfacing on the M11 junction 8, Birchanger Green Roundabout bridges. This will ensure the bridges continue to remain in a safe and serviceable condition.
