Langford Road, Heybridge Roundabout - roadworks update 

Work is ongoing on the new roundabout at Langford Road, Heybridge, with developers currently operating under temporary traffic light control.

From 23 July until the end of August, a section of Langford Road will be fully closed to allow for significant earthworks, including road realignment and connections to the new roundabout.

These works are a key step toward opening the new route between Langford Road and Broad Street Green via Jubilee Way (the relief road), which is currently expected to be completed by the end of September 2025. Once open, this route should help ease congestion in Heybridge and Maldon.

There will be some travel disruption, and no vehicles will be permitted through the site during the closure 

A temporary bus timetable will be in place to support public transport users
