Hullbridge Road – progress update

Preliminary works and site clearance commenced as planned and are advancing well. The necessary utility diversions to facilitate the construction of the new roundabout are ongoing. UKPN are currently undertaking the necessary work to their apparatus, once the grounded of overhead cables is carried out the electric diversion works will be complete.

The next phase is scheduled to commence April 2021 and will involve construction works to join the new roundabout arm from the site to Rawreth Lane at the Lubbards Close junction. During this phase a road closure on Lubbards Close will be required for approximately three weeks followed by lane restrictions with temporary traffic lights to access Hullbridge Road.

Advance warning signs will be used to advertise the works and a formal diversion route will be signposted during the road closure.
