Hoppit Bridge - Temporary pedestrian footbridge in place

Works to replace the bridge deck at Hoppit Bridge begun as planned. The site compound has been established and vegetation clearance took place in the vicinity of the bridge in the first week. 

The first phase of works included breaking out concrete of the bridge deck and parapets and installing steel reinforcements.  

To ensure pedestrian access is maintained at all times as the scheme progresses a temporary footbridge has been installed and is open for public use.

Due to a slight delay beyond our control the programme has been revised and works are expected to be completed by the end of January 2022.
