Cust Hall Bridge: temporary two-way traffic lights

Gainsford End Road successful reopened to vehicles at the end of February with temporary two-way traffic signals in place whilst remaining work is carried out.

Vehicle restraint system (VRS) barriers have been installed in the South West corner of the bridge however, a design change is required to barriers in the North West. The decision has been made to install anti-ram bollards instead and materials have been ordered. Due to this necessary change the temporary traffic lights will remain in place on Gainsford End Road until the end of Friday 19 March 2021 whilst this work is carried out.
