Oasis Bridge – Overnight road closure for de-jacking of bridge

Preparations are being made on site to de-jack the south side of Oasis Bridge. An overnight road closure will be required on Monday 13 September 2021 on the A138 Chelmer Road over Oasis Bridge in both directions.

The closure will be in place between the hours of 8pm to 5am. During the closure appropriate signs and diversion route will be in place. 

For those travelling on the A138 Chelmer Road (northbound) in the direction of Boreham interchange, after the Toby Carvery Roundabout traffic will be diverted on the exit slip towards the B1137 Springfield Road.  From here it will be possible to re-join the A138 Chelmer Road via the entry slip.

For those travelling southbound (in the direction of the Toby Carvery roundabout), a diversion will be in place via the A130, Colchester Road where you can re-join the A138 Chelmer Road via the Eastern Approach entry slip.

Vehicle access under the bridge will be maintained at all times.
