St Botolph's Circus Regeneration update

This week, the team will be working on the reinforced concrete chambers that will sit beneath the roundabout. Having built the structures for the chambers, concrete will now be poured. Once complete, these chambers will help manage drainage on site by capturing rainwater and road run-off.

The team will also begin work on the south-west side of the junction, close to Mersea Road. Excavation works will get underway for a new retaining wall. As these works progress, this section of the roundabout will be reduced to one lane during off-peak periods during the day. Cones will extend further into the westbound carriageway on Southway to provide a safe working area.

The bus stop on the roundabout (Mersea Road bus stop) is expected to close shortly and will remain closed until further notice. Further details will be shared when available.
