RTS Bus shelter removal

Our supplier recently discovered an issue with seven bus shelters that were installed as part of the Colchester Rapid Transport System. As a precautionary measure, these shelters have been removed while an investigation is undertaken. 

In the meantime, temporary shelters are being sourced and will be put in place for bus users until the issue is resolved and the new permanent shelters can be re-installed.

Our supplier would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and reassure residents that instances like these are very rare. 

We do not anticipate any cost to the council as a result of this.
