Laindon Cycle Route

This scheme was part of the Basildon Integrated Transport Package of improvements funded by Essex County Council and the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP) Local Growth Fund to improve the cycle route to Laindon rail station.

Works included upgrading pavements to become shared footway/cycleways between Laindon High Road and Station Approach, upgrading crossing points, improving lighting, signage and undertaking widening works where needed.

Final remedial works were programmed in High Road from week commencing 21 August 2017 for minor footway patching and outstanding works to street lighting columns.
