30 April 2024 Road Closure

Night closures on Post Office Road

As part of the Harlow North to Centre Sustainable Transport Corridor scheme, Post Office Road will be closed from the evening of 29 April for four consecutive nights.

The closure will be enforced from 8PM - 5AM each night.

For the first two nights, 29, 30 April, access will be from the west end of the closure.

For the second two nights, 1, 2 May access will be from the east end of the closure.

The team has engaged with Royal Mail to ensure there will be no disruption to deliveries.

Running from a redesigned junction at Burnt Mill along the A1019 to the town centre, the corridor will provide upgraded rapid bus services. It also includes walking and cycling links, new public realm, trees, signage and lighting.

Funded through the £172 million Housing Investment Grant, provided by Homes England and managed by Garden Town partner Hertfordshire County Council, the corridor is an important part of the new Garden Town’s transport infrastructure.

It will help to ensure the development links to the train station and town centre through good quality walking, cycling and bus rapid transit services.
