Sandon Park and Ride CM2 7RU

Sunday Opening in December

Both Sandon and Chelmer Valley sites will run buses every 15 minutes into Chelmsford from 9am until 5pm on Sundays throughout December.

Saturday prices will apply during Sunday opening hours, with free travel for children under 16.

Here you can find timetable information, details of fares and the route for the Sandon Park and Ride. You can also download a map of the site with directions from the map section below.

Park and Ride Timetable

A new Park and Ride timetable began August 2016.  A copy of the new timetable can be found in the document section at the bottom of this page.

Changes to the service will include pre-7am buses and more peak time services for Sandon users.  Buses will now run from Sandon through the city centre to Chelmer Valley, with additional peak time services running from Sandon to Sandon. The new timetables for each stop are available below.

Please note:

  • Sandon customers who usually catch the bus back to the site from Victoria Road South, can use the neighbouring Duke Street stop for off-peak services and additional peak-time services.
  • Sandon customers travelling on Cross City buses into the City will need to alight at Mildmay Car Park or Victoria Road South stops for access to the City Centre. Customers returning from the City Centre to Sandon can board buses at Reed Agency, the Job Centre or Parkway stops.
  • Cars can still exit the site after 7pm either automatically through the barrier system.  In emergencies customers can contact Chelmsford City Council’s CCTV Control Centre on 01245 606 210 (24 hours).
